I need some help on the following situation. Sice we upgraded from 2019 to 2023 Autodesk suite, the revision block for Autodesk Mechanical (vaac_RevBlockMetric.dwg) is behaving strange.
When the properties are updated from Vault to the file using both Update Properties command or with the JobProcessor the height of the data line from the revision table is reduced as it can be seen on the screencast.
I must say that this was not happening on 2019 and the template file for the revision block has not been changed.
Could someone give me a helping hand on this? I have created this thread here as I belive it is more an issue on the Vault Add-in, command and less a Autodesk Mechanical issue!
Note that we are running with latest updates instaled.
Thanks in advance!

Hello. Did you intend to share a video? Nothing was attached to your post. Embedding Screencast videos is no longer active, but there is a new method that just launched last week for sharing videos in posts.
I may have seen this behavior you are describing a long time ago in AutoCAD Electrical. I think it had to do with the Table style settings in AutoCAD, not the Revision template itself. But I cannot remember the exact fix. I haven't used AutoCAD in a few years.

The Update Properties and Job Processor are only updating the drawing's custom properties, not the revision table.
Is the revision table getting its values from the custom properties?
Have you tried modifying the custom properties manually to see if the revision table shows the problem?
Thanks guys for the replies!
Sorry for the late response! I tried the folowing...
- added the table style for the revision block also to the .dwt file;
- generated new file using the new setup and had it run on the lifecycle till approved having the revision block inserted but without data;
- changed the state to WIP and assigned primary revision (revision block remained unchanged);
- opened the file (checked out) and edited the Name field on the revision block;
-saved the modification and then I used Update properties command from the Mechanical Add-in. The height of the Data line of the revision is modified (see picture attached)
Settings in the table style are as bellow ..
This looks more like an AutoCAD Mechanical issue.
Vault will write the revision value to the drawings property only. It doesn't do anything with the block.
When doing this through the Vault state transition, we use AutoCAD in the background to update the property.
You could try to reproduce this by changing the Revision value directly in the drawing property.
Can you send me the template file?

I would agree with @ihayesjr . In my experience, these table styles are very tricky when installing a new release of AutoCAD. I used to have this problem with every upgrade of Acad Electrical. It took a lot of tweaking of the table Styles to get it to work every time, but the problem never seemed to be with the Vault side of the Revision process.

Thanks to @ihayesjr we manage to figure out the problem on this issue. It is a Mechanical issue as @ihayesjr said and it is related to Vertical cell margin value that in my case was sett to "0". Vertical cell margin together with Text height is setting the cell height in this situation. To quote @ihayesjr if vertical cell margin "... is zero, you are telling the table to remove all spacing between the content and the borders. This then will affect the row height and then the table height."
Thanks for the support and if neccesary this post can be moved on the Autocad Mechanical forum!
