QR Codes for Drawings...

Can someone enlighten me on this process...

Scan the QR code on a drawing to view the 3D CAD file. View, review and measure your 2D and 3D files, take notes, and even raise a change order to capture changes as you talk. 

I understand the premise, what I need to understand is the execution.  How to generate the QR code that would go on a drawing or perhaps on a machine and how that would like into the Mobile App.

First, you need to find a third party software package that will create a QR code with plan text. For example QR Code Generator.

Once the QR Code is created, save it as an image and place it into the drawing or print it out and put it on the machine or where appropriate.

After that, a mobile user can go up to the QR Code, can it in the app and the app will return the search results.

I take it the QR code just needs to be the reference to the name of a file...

The QR Code can reference any value in any property.

We have been looking at Drawing Bar Code Pro on the App Exchange for 1d bar codes.
