permission error on file reservation removal

hi vaulters, 

just trying to remove reservation of a file that an old user had checked out, but it tells me that I do not have adequate permission, although I am Administrator of the vault.

what am I missing here? any idea?

What version of Vault?

With the many layers of permissions, (role based, object based, lifecycle state...) it is possible to block even the Admin from having rights in some cases.  Right mouse click on the file and select Details.  Open the Effective Access tab and add your admin user to the list to see what your effective permissions are for this file.  If it is Deny for any of them, you may need to change security someplace to get that back to Allow.

it is Autodesk Vault 2016  Build 21.0.59.0

also after selecting "Details" for this file, i could not see "Effective Access" tab, 

but i did something else here, i changed its security from " Object-based" to "overwritten" and added my user with full access to this file, then i tried to remove its reservation, and it worked.
