Hello.
I tried to find the definition for file property "Number of attachments", but I did not find it. What exacly does this property count? When I checked random files, they all have 0 attachments. We have the ITEM system and their number of attachment property is more than 0, which is OK, since we have STEP, PDF, DWG, ... exported. I guess if we would not have ITEM system and would export files on FILE level, then "Number of attachments" would increase or am I wrong here?
We are using Vault 2020.3.7.
Best regards,
Rene Repina

The number of attachments on the file can be seen in the Uses tab when you select a file.
If the uses tab shows the attachments node, you will see what is attached.
I do believe there is a problem with the count. I will have to see if the development team can take a look at it.
Something is wrong. Please log a product support case so this can be looked into.
After discussing this with development, the following was found:
Currently, all hidden files are not counted into "Number of Attachments".
In Rene's case, the STP files are created by third party job and are hidden and therefore not counted.
There is no option to configure this behavior at the moment.
Consider creating a thread in our Vault Idea Station to request an enhancement in this functionality.
