Need to export a large number of files from vault from excel list

We currently have a vault system with about 15k files. We have a need to give uncontrolled copies of the files for an entire product line (about 1500 files), to a sister division. We have an excel spreadsheet with the file names that need to be transferred.

Anyone know how I can download copies of these files to a designated location so I can hand them off? Thank you

Nah as far as I know there's no way to pull files from Vault based on the contents of a spreadsheet, not without custom apps, and by that point you could have just manually downloaded what you need.  If you have an identifier in the properties of the files (part numbers or project codes) you could search for them and pull down the search results, but Vault can't read a spreadsheet and go get those files.

If these files are from a product lines, is there not a few top level assemblies/drawings which would pull the rest out as children?

If you are one of our clients you can use our Vault Utilities for free.  It has a Batch Checkout that will let you just copy and paste the filenames or use your Excel spreadsheet to checkout or Get the files to a local workspace.

Its just something we do for free for our subscription customers.

Do you have a folder structure that would allow you to do a Pack-n-Go?
How are these models created? Do they use iParts or iAssemblies?
