How to create a custom report that shows Change Order submission and time stamp?

Hello all,

I work for an organization that uses Vault to store product blueprints. When new orders arrive we assign the order to a change order. As the change order moves along it is submitted to different states(create, open, work, check, review, approved, closed). I need to pull a report of hundreds of change orders that shows the date and time that the change order was submitted to each step. I have not found a way to generate this report.

For example the report would look like this and be able to be exported to excel.

NOR-001 - create - 8:00 a.m. 1/1/21

NOR-001 - open - 8:15 a.m. 1/1/21

NOR-001 - work - 7:30 a.m. 1/2/21

NOR-002 - create - 8:00 a.m. 1/1/21

NOR-002 - open - 8:45 a.m. 1/1/21

NOR-003 - work 9:30 a.m. 1/1/21

and so on...

Is this possible? If I click on the status page of the Change Order I can double click on each state and see the date and time that the change order was submitted to that state and who submitted it.

So far I've tried using the find function as and I've looked at the Report Authoring tool but neither seem to give me what I need.

Thanks for the help.

What you are looking for is printing a Change Order Summary.

This command is available by right-clicking on a single Change Order and selecting the Print Change Order Summary option.

Unfortunately, there isn't a way to do this for multiple Change Orders.

Unfortunately viewing the change order summary does not provide the functionality I need - the change order summary shows date stamps but not time stamps - I need to be able to see time stamps of each state and I need to be able to collect this information from thousands of change orders efficiently.

Could I add a custom property to the change order that would automatically update with a date/time when the change order is submitted to each state?

The information you are looking for is already available in the Comments field. You will need to develop a custom app using the APIs to get what you need on a large number of files. Adding properties will not work.
