Error getting relative ressource path

I just upgraded to Inventor & Vault 2009.
I have a "check-in" problem telling a message "Error getting relative ressource path".
What is the meaning of this message?
How can I make that file "check in" to vault? I really need that file to be check-in : it's my drawing template!

Regards,
SD

It is possible that the filestore directory on the
server does not have the correct windows security [ACL] permissions. The
filestore directory is located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application

Data\Autodesk\VaultServer\FileStore

The web services run [by default]
under a windows user called
AutodeskVault - and that user needs permissions
to read, write, & delete
from the filestore and subdirectories.

The filestore directory also contains a number of
server vlogs. The vlogs will contain more details on errors encountered
throughout the day. If your problem does not seem to be security related
[above], please attach a vlog with the error you are seeing.

Hope this helps,

I try to upload the vlog file but I get "Error reading uploaded file '0' " from autodesk discussion group site...don't know why it's not working?!?!?!
I can send the file at your email directly if you want?

That'd be fine.

Or you could paste a section of the log file with
the error into a newsgroup post - either way.

I sent my vlog file to my computer wiz & he find out that there were no "autodeskvault" user permission to write in the filestore folder.
So he fix the thing & it's working again!

That I do not get it: I was using Inventor 2008 with vault 2008 without that "autodeskvault" user thing so why do we need this in 2009?

Glad to hear things are working.

The web services normally run under the 'autodesk
vault' windows user - so the user needs permissions to the filestore location.
This is actually not a new requirement - but has been the case for several
years. Normally you don't need to worry about that detail since installation
sets up permissions on the filestore location automatically. However either the
permissions weren't set correctly or somehow got changed in this particular
case. I'm not sure exactly what the cause might have been.

Hi,

I have this problem. I cant checkin files to Vault 2009.

Error message : The server returned the following information: Error getting relative resource path.

On the server 2003, I have added the user AutodeskVault to the windows user group and given full permissions.

I cant understand what else could have gone wrong here.

Is there any special service packs that needs to be installed on the windows server?

Is there any service packs for Autodesk Vault 2009?

Any Hotfixes?

Any help is highly appriciated.

Thanks

Hi,

A few questions on this:

- is this happening for all files or just one
specific file?

- is the problem periodical or does it happen every
time?

- Could you provide the server vlog file with the
error? The logs are located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Autodesk\VaultServer\FileStore

Thanks,
