Effective rights matrix

Hello,

Is it possible to obtain the effective right matrix, for a folder or a user ?

I have several projects, for each project I have different teams, each one with its own rights.

For example, I have a folder in RW for a team and RO for another. I also have folder visible specifically by a team or a user.

So it could be very difficult to know exactly what are the rights on a folder, or, for a specific user, what are his rights.

Is there a way to know this ?  If not, I think it could be an idea to submit on dedicated forum.

If you are using Vault 2019 or 2020, right-click on the folder, select Details then click the Effective Access tab.

Add the user you are interested in and you will see what access they have to the folder.

Ok, this exist in 2018 too.

But it functions only on a given folder, for given names.

Is there a tool to obtain a summary for all the vault, for example :

-vertically : vault folders

-horizontally : users

-intersection : effective access

So you can easily check who can access a specific folder, or reciprocally what are all the folders accessible by a user.

No, there isn't a current tool to do this.

You could try this tool but you have to rebuild it to work with the latest version of Vault.
