Data Mapping report generated but chart cannot be populated

I've created a custom report template using ReportTemplateAuthoringUtility although I'm getting an error message "the report is generated but chart cannot be populated."  I've tried running command prompt as admin and using this solution...

https://designandmotion.net/autodesk/cannot-generate-vault-report-from-the-template-in-inventor-2014...

although I'm getting a parameter error 1332, Create SDDL failed.

It seems that the majority of the other stock report templates are out of date also.  Any suggestions?

What versions of Inventor and Vault are you using?  This solution is several years old.

Hello again... I've been advised to ask you if the standard reports can be run successfully in Vault, or do all reports fail?  Also, could your issue be related to this article?

@CGBenner

Our issue is not related to the aforementioned issue.

Also, I've tried numerous report templates and receive the following:

1. File Table template:

2. In-CAD template

3. Item Detail template

4. File Detail template

5. reportTemplate template

The FilebyCategory and ItembyState templates produce a chart.

Any ideas on this, or who might be the best to pull into this conversation?

Take a look at this AU class to see if it helps.

It is more recent then the old link in the post.

Do I need to migrate the report templates that ship with the Vault Client?  I have just recently tried to use the default reports but get errors similar to this thread.

Does the Vault Client installer automatically clean out old default templates and replace them with functional ones?

No, you should not have to migrate the out of the box templates.

The report templates are located in the install path of the client. Only an uninstall of a previous client will clean out old templates but a new client will not see old templates.

Thank you @CGBenner & @ihayesjr,

I checked each report template and they were all set to version 3.0.

I'm still getting the same errors as mentioned earlier although now I believe it may be because I don't have certain properties defined (i.e. categories) defined.  I'll play around with it more and report back.

Thanks again.
