Created library in Vault Server not visible in Client

Hi, I just started implementing Vault Basic. I am having trouble with adding libraries to the Client.

I created a new library in the Server Console. I mapped the folders. And in the application options from inventor selected Autodesk Vault server

It is showing up in the available libraries in the project configuration as Read/write.

I can also see it in the content centre editor and add parts to it. I added a part and checked it in the vault. It did create a folder structure (Content Center Files -> en-US->Familyname) in the content center files but the library folder is still empty.

How do I fix this? Or is this supposed to stay empty? It would be nice to see what's in the library instead of only in the Content Center Editor in inventor.

Thankss,

The content center folders in vault will be populated with files when you insert standard content in assemblies. The libraries as such is just databases with templates for files to be created.

So there is not supposed to be a AI2025_Test_library in the libraries folder in the Client. Will this folder stay empty all the time? Also no IDCL. files for example?

The library folder in vault you populate yourself with files. They don't get populated with content center files, unless you insert a cc file as custom and place it there yourself.

AI2025_Test_library is just a database. It will show up in the ADMS console and in the project configuration, not in the vault client.

There is no need for local idcl files if you have your cc databases at the vault server. Only if you work offline from the vault server and want to create cc files you need the idcl files.
