All,
Good afternoon! Full disclosure, I am VERY new to Items, but am trying to understand how to work with the new Inventor 2022 model states and Items. I've learned that each model state MUST have a unique "Part Number" in order to generate an entry in Item Master, which updates fine and displays the BOM that I would expect. However, my issue is I generated a new model state AFTER assigning the Item to this particular assembly and I cannot get the new Model State to display in the Item Master. I've ensured that this new Model State has a unique "Part Number", is checked into the Vault and I've performed a refresh in Vault. Even after choosing to "Update" the items by right-clicking on them, the new Model State does NOT display as a new Item. Is this a limitation currently? Do I need to create all conceivable Model States before I generate the Items? My concern is that I would remove any potential Revision information if I deleted the Items and regenerated them.
Please let me know if there are any questions or if my post needs clarification. I can knock out a video, if that's helpful. Thanks for your patience, hope all else is well and have a most blessed day!
Peace,
Pete
