Could not find Data Management Services after Windows 10 Creators Update

Today I was running the Windows 10 Creators Update. After the Update my Vault Client anwers: 'Vault Basic 2017 could not find Data Management Services on localhost.' Same from Inventor-Client.

 

My Vault Server Management console finds my Vault instances.

Tried to Switch off the Firewall with the same result as with Firewall running.

 

Just before the creator's Update everything was working well.

 

I'm running the German Version of Inventor/Vault 2017.

 

Any help is appreciated!

Hi There,

 

You may want to try the solutions highlighted in the below article -

 

Could not find data management services.

 

This would most likely resemble an IIS problem, apart from the steps mentioned in the below article please try the following too on the ADMS -

 

 

 

1. in CMD type IISRESET /STOP

 

2. navigate to location "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\ " and clear the contents

 

3. in CMD type IISRESET /START

 

4. Try connecting.

Hello Mr. Kumar,

 

thank you very much for your very quick response!

I tried to stop the Services and removed all the Contents of the Folder. Unfortunately the Problem persists.

To close loop here, we had to add the Vault impersonation account ( which is by default) 'AutodeskVault' to the local system's 'administrators' group.

Vault Server 2018.1 does not work in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

I got tempted to install the latest Windows 10 (1709) RTM and ran into problems With Vault Server.
When logging in, the error Message is: Vault Pro 2018 could not find the Data Management Services on <server name>
When trying to do a repair, I get the following error: IIS is not running as the default web server.
I have added the AutodeskVault user to local administrators. That was the solution for the previous Windows Version.
Before I roll back, I would like to know if there are any solutions that would help. Obviously this has to be fixed when Windows 10 (1709) is publicly available.

Hello,

 

Last night our vault server updated to the windows 10 fall creators update.

Now we can’t access the vault.

It gives ‘Vault Basic 2018 could not find the Data Management Services on <server name>’ as an error-message.

When I try to backup the vault, ADMS gives the error ‘Failure calling web services on 'http://server-2015/'. See log for details..’

In the IIS Manager I can see that AutodeskDMPool and AutodeskFSPool are stopped. I don’t know if they must be running. If I force them to run, they will stop again immediately.

I’ve tried disabling the firewall and McAfee Total protection.

 

Does anyone have an idea how to fix the problem?

I'm having the same issue since updating Windows 10 with the Fall Creators update.

 

I don't have an impersonation account. Can someone help me configure that?
