Ban downloading files from the Thin Client

Hallo everyone,

is it possible to restrict a group of users from downloading files from the Thin Client?
I attempted to remove some rights, but this also prevented viewing files.

If we wanted to open up our database to customers in the future, we would want to be able to block the download of native files, but allow them to be viewed.

Thanks in advance
Best Regards

Hello,

I think answer to your question is available here:

Is it possible to set up Vault to let specific users/groups view but not download files?

You might want to vote for this Idea included in above article -

@d.alghisi

That article @arkad_s is not correct.

For CAD files, there are actually two files created most of the time. The original file, the IPT, for example, and the visualization file, the DWF.

If you do not want the user to download the IPT, you do not grant the user the download permission on the IPT. However, in the Thin Client, the user can go to the View tab and see the visualization file as long as you have granted the user the download permission on the DWF.
