Assigning Export Control Property to Files in Vault via Spreadsheet

Hi All,

I need to update a custom property for an EC tag value to many files spread all over in Vault.  I'd like to use a spreadsheet with the file name and specific EC value to be assigned to the property KEYWORDS.  Does Vault have an out of the box function to update a files KEYWORD property regardless of where it is stored in Vault without manually touching each file.  I'd like to feed the spreadsheet into a tool or ilogic and auto populate the file property regardless if in WIP or RELEASED.  I know it might be a long shot but thought I'd post for any suggestions!  Thanks in Advance!  Vault 2024

@Jody3D

First, you need to find the necessary files using the Advanced Find dialog.

Once you have that, save it as a Saved Search.

Once it is a Saved Search, you go to the saved search, select multiple files, and select Edit Properties.

In the Edit Properties dialog, add the property that needs to be edited.

If the files are in the order that matches your Excel sheet, you can copy and paste the value from Excel into the dialog.
