2026 ADMS Using 2025 Remote Content Not Compatible

Hello,

I am try to do something may be stupid or may not but so far it not compatible.

I am running Inventor 2025 and want to try install 2026 ADMS on my local desktop and it work fine. But I want to install (remote content on the ADMS server) but I can't install 2025 version content because the ADMS is 2026 then I went and install (remote content) 2026 and it work but Inventor 2025 can't see the content and I think because the version different.

Is there a way to make it work?

If this is impossible then I want to remove the 2026 ADMS and install 2025 but I can't install ADMS 2025 because the 2026 SQL database still running even those I uninstall the ADMS 2026. I did little reading but don't how to stop the 2026 SQL database running so I can install the 2025 ADMS.

I am looking for help to either keep 2026 ADMS server with somehow to upload the 2025 remote content.

or help me to completed remove 2026 ADMS and install ADMS 2025.

You should be able to install the 2025 libraries into a 2026 server. What error are you getting?

I thought the same way but when I run the install I got this message.

Run the batch file, not the exe.

You need to edit the batch file and add the user name and password.

I use the default no password or user name.

just admin and blank.

P.s when I install the content 2026 and it work right away.

I think the remote content version has to match the ADMS version.

Hi @snguyenSWVMS 

I looked on my side and indeed running exe or bat file ends in the same message (I think these were created with assumption that will be run on machine with ADMS Console 2025) but I could still attach 2025 libraries manually to my test ADMS Console 2026 (generic steps for manual attachment are described also under How to install and configure content center libraries in Vault ) but I am leaving few screenshots too with example for attaching ISO CC library:

I am so sorry that I didn't get back to your help. Thanks for all your help you are very quick and nice person try to help me out.

I see this instruction online and I want to try the installation and the typ. install should work but sine I use 2026 server and try install 2025 data it not working well so I end up manually attached the library just like your instruction and it work fine.
