Vault Send File/Link Customization of E-mail

Hello.

I want to customize the Vault Send File/Link E-mail. Is there a way to replace the written text and to show the link with the file name? Is there a way to customize that from some .ps file or somewhere else?

Hi @stoyan_ivanov,

That's an interesting idea, because so far as I know the text is hardcoded, in one or more of the dlls on Vault Server side.

If not alyready exist, please create it as an idea, or maybe @ihayesjr can convert it to a new idea?

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

While I understand the request, the link points directly to a specific version of the file. If you replace it with just the file name, Vault wouldn't understand which version to take you to. Also, if multiple files with the same name exist, the link couldn't specify which file to go to.

Hi @ihayesjr,

I think the question from @stoyan_ivanov is to create a template with another text as it is the current one, we get when use the function right now.

Is it right @stoyan_ivanov, what I think?

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

Hello @ihayesjr and @mschindler-mum

My question has nothing to do with the version of the file.

I want when I select file and go File->Send Link and Outlook opens, the text written there as a message to be different.

And, if it is possible, the hyperlink to be with the file name (the path of the file in the hyperlink is totally unique, no matter how many files with the same name are there).

And one more thing, maybe I have missed it, but when you click on the file hyperlink, Vault opens new Vault Client. Is there a way to just show the file in already opened Vault Client Window?
