Vault SDK with Vault Basic

Hi,

I am using Vault SDK 2013 Beta. I wanted to check whether my component works with Vault Basic version (the free one shipped with CAD applications). None of the calls work, I get an error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Not found". I am unsure whether this is because it is 2012 or because it is the basic version? Would you expect it to work with this server. If not would you expect it to work with Vault 2013 basic version? Or with any other 2012 version? Are they backward compatible?

Is the basic 2013 version available yet? Only the professional version seemed to be available on the beta program.

The Vault SDKs are version specific.  So the Vault 2013 version of Autodesk.Connectivity.WebServices.dll will only work with Vault servers that have the 2013 web services.  So it's not compatible with Vault 2012.

Also, we deliberably set it so the Beta and Release APIs are incompatible.  So when Vault 2013 comes out, you will not be able to use it with the Vault 2013 Beta SDK.  And no, Vault 2013 is not out yet.
