Vault Data Standard Inventor Property

Hello,

is there a chance to use non vault- mapped iProperties in the data standards dialog?

F.e. iProperty 'colour'  isn't mapped to vault but in use for BOM. Now, user has to fill it manually in the standard iProperties- dialog after data standards dialog has closed.

Hi,

Customize your xaml by adding a label and a textbox/combobox and have it bind to the property that you want to see in the dialog. Follow this documentation on how to do it.

Configure the Data Standard Dialog

Hope it helps!

Hello,

sorry for questioning again. But it will only work if i have a mapping from Inventor to Vault.

But i don't want to use the property in Vault, so i don't map it.

Hi,

What have you done to have it shown on the dialog?

Place your property (label and textbox) to the left of the VDS dialog (General properties data grid and not the dynamic properties data grid.)

In case if you have something to share (non confidential) then I can give a look at it.

Hi,

I have given a look at your configurations/dialog. In Vault I have removed the mapping on the description property to the Inventor.

And It is still working: working for me means when I close VDS dialog, then I check the iproperties and see the changes in the description property.

Let me know if you still have issues and possibly with a video or screen shots of the issue that you are facing.

Hope it helps!
