Use vault SDK 2020 API with Vault 2021 client

Is it possible to use the vault SDK API dlls of vault SDK 2020 when the client version is 2021 and not 2020 ?

We have developed an addin based on the 2020 dlls and it currently works only if 2020 client is installed.

Is there a way to make it work in such a configuration ?

The client version and SDK version need to match. The server version might be higher (up to two versions).
