I am using Revit 2025.2 with a Vault 2025 web extension. When the user tries to change lifecycle state I do custom validation and add a restriction in event UpdateFileLifecycleStateEvents_GetRestrictions the user sees the error message: "restrictedEntities Files Folders and CustomEntities are all empty" and the lifecycle transition is blocked. When no restriction is added no error message is shown and all is good.
The error message is not userfriendly and does not show the user what is wrong.
The exception is only thrown in Revit. In Vault Explorer 2025, AutoCAD, Civil and Map3D it is working as expected.
Can this be linked to the same bug in 2012 which is fixed in a hotfix?
