Changing or adding comments to Versions of file

Hi,

I would like to change or add a comment to the historical versions of files in Vault. Is it possible to modify this comment via the API?

You cannot change a comment in historical file iterations. Updating comments (through the API or UI) is done either by checking in a new file iteration or by making an explicit property edit. In any case, the result is a new file version. Changing historic iterations would jeopardize the traceability of changes and, therefore, vaulting principles.
