Add custom command to Actions menu

Hi,

I want to add a custom command to the actions menu of the Vault Client Explorer.

I can add something to the Contextmenu, or the different toolbars, but not to the "Actions" menu. (I'm not very experienced yet in creating addins for Vault)

Here's what I've tried so far.

            Dim ActionCmdSite As New CommandSite("Import_ITEM_DataCommand.ActionsMenu", "Import ITEM Data") With {
             .Location = CommandSiteLocation.ActionsMenu,
             .DeployAsPulldownMenu = False
            }
            ActionCmdSite.AddCommand(Import_ITEM_DataCmdItem)

And additional, is it possible to define the exact position of my custom command inside the actions menu?

Thanks and Greetings

You can review a working action menu sample code snippet here:

CommandItem mQueuePublishJobCmdItem = new CommandItem("Command.iLogicJobAdd", "Queue iLogic Job")
            {
                NavigationTypes = new SelectionTypeId[] { SelectionTypeId.File },
                MultiSelectEnabled = true,
                Image = Properties.Resources.iLogic_Browser_transparent
            };
            mQueuePublishJobCmdItem.Execute += mQueueiLogicJobCmdHndlr;

            // deploy command on file context menu
            //
            CommandSite mQueuePublishContextMenu = new CommandSite("Menu.ActionMenu", "Queue iLogic Job")
            {
                Location = CommandSiteLocation.ActionsMenu,
                DeployAsPulldownMenu = false
            };
            mQueuePublishContextMenu.AddCommand(mQueuePublishJobCmdItem);
            mJobSelectCmdSites.Add(mQueuePublishContextMenu);

Hi Markus and thanks for the reply. It doesn't seems to work on my system as described. I did everything acc. to you example but with the result, that I don't see a new button in the user interface under "Actions".

Then I tried to figure out, why it doesn't work. And during the procedure the users told me. They would like it most, to have the new feature directly inside of the ribbon UI. And that was already done.

So, I don't really now, why it doesn't work, but I have now time to search for a reason.

Greetings
