The Upchain Webapp UI experiences jittering issues when zooming in or out using the Chrome browser on 2K or 4K resolution monitors. This issue needs to be addressed to ensure a smooth user experience. The webapp should fully support higher resolution monitors and allow users to zoom in the browser tab according to their preference. It is disappointing that a modern web-based UI does not officially support 2K or 4K resolutions and is limited to 1080p monitors. This issue was highlighted in support case 22708974. We have recently noticed the maintenance update notifications appearing in the upper ribbon of the Webapp. This method effectively informs users about upcoming updates and outages in Upchain. We would like to request the ability to push these updates through an API. This feature would enable us Admins to notify our Upchain users about any outages or maintenance activities that might impact their use of Upchain.   For example, if the integration between upchain and our ERP system is down, we would like to use this service to notify the users that CNs shouldn't be created until the issue is resolved. This capability would allow us to provide real-time updates on service status, informing users when the service is down and when it is back online, so they can resume creating CNs. Se pictures below. Background/problem: If a visualization file is generated for an item, it is not possible to regenerate the visualization file. If you try to regenerate the visualization file by clicking the action menu on an item and then selecting "Visualization" -> "Regenerate All" or "Regenerate One" you are getting the message shown in the picture below telling "The visualization for the selected item will not be regenerated since it already has a visualization." Since the generation of visualization files is failing relatively frequent by generating incorrect or white thumbnails, an option for recreating these visualization files is highly needed.   Suggestion for improvement: The "Regenerate All" or "Regenerate One" for visualization files should be available also for items with already existing visualization files.   Show More

It would be nice to be able to export to an excel file the Compare revisions comparison that can be seen through the Upchain CR screen. This way we would have a very visual summary report of the changes of the CR that we can include and share with all the team easily or through email See screenshot of what we would like to export. Use Case. we have a large list of Manufacturer and the user would like to use the Keyboard to navigate to for example "Festo". the current behavior.   the Manufacturer list is a Dropdown list. the user can search the list by pressing "F" for festo. if the list of Manufactures starting with "F" is very long and the user would like to narrow the search by presses "E" after the "F" the list changes to the Manufacturer beginning with "E".   Enhancement. the Search of the Dropdown list should be dynamic. if a user starts searching in the list for the Manufacturer Festo. they could start by pressing "F" getting the List of all starting with "F" continuing to narrow down the results of the search by Pressing "E" getting the results of all Manufacturer starting with "FE"  . continuing by pressing "FES" until "FESTO" is selected or the user chooses this per mouse Click. When a user sets an out-of-office delegate for their time-off, all their currently assigned tasks should automatically be reassigned to the delegate for the duration of their absence. Currently, this reassignment must be done manually by administrators, which is time-consuming. The system should intelligently handle this process, similar to how it prompts for task reassignment when an account is temporarily deactivated. Implementing this feature would streamline workflow management and reduce administrative overhead. Show More

In both Web/Plugin, Project BOM collapses after certain actions. User would have to expand Project BOM again to review where he left off last time. We need the ability to view the history of a Promoted item. Right now, if an item gets promoted, users are unable to view the Promoted item and its history. One suggestion is that since hte promoted version is what becomes the Released version, you cold the history of the Promoted item to the Released version. Show More

Admins can propagate the default eBOM view in webapp to all users. As soon as admin clicks on the button in webapp, changes get pushed to all users. To avoid accidental table preferences propagation, it's best to have a pop up asking for confirmation.    Pop message should be something like "Propagation of table preferences will be across entire tenant." proceed and cancel buttons in the pop up.  Show More

As of now orphan filtered list only lists the items under parent items selected within the CN eBOM. If CN was initiated on development item, orphaned items below the development parent item does not get listed in filtered list.    Enhancement request here is to show all orphaned items (in filtered list) below the parent on which CN was initiated irrespective of the item state & selection in CN eBOM.     Show More

Provide a way to view the eBOM of items that are not part of any project, when it is opened from Quick Search and Advanced search in Webapp. This should be available for the promoted versions too with the ability to choose the eBOM version.   This feature was available in Thick client and we lost it in when we moved to Upchain cloud. Right now in Upchain Webapp, items need to be in a Project if we have to view its eBOM. If it is not part of any Project, user would have to copy to a ProjectBom temporarily just to see its eBOM.     Show More

In webapp, CN list from item quick view panel shows all CN's that item X is part of. Even if item X is just a child item that's not being requisitioned.  If there is a faint marker beside the CN number to differentiate that particular CN where item X is requisitioned, it will be beneficial to user when reviewing.  It also benefits user if the faint marker have differentiation between actual requisition vs moves or returns.  Show More

When creating a project, a 4-character unique identifier is required. This results in conflicts when users attempt to select the same unique identifier as another user. Ideally, the unique identifier would be auto-generated sequentially as projects are created avoiding any need for user intervention.   See images for error shown when entering the same unique identifier. As project quantity increases, the chance for duplicate unique identifiers grows, causing frustration for users when trying to find a code to assign their project. Setting this field to auto-generate next in sequence would resolve the issue. Show More

Would it be feasible to allow export > model (or a similar function) open directly in Solidworks similar to the on-prem version? A way to quickly open a model from the webapp, directly into Solidworks. There are many use cases, including designers looking at CRs/CNs and need to open a part to fix an issue. Or a viewer who don't have access to the plugin and whos only choice is to download from the plugin. If a designer tries to checkout a file that's not in their home folder they should get an error message of some sort, or automatically close and reopen the file after moving it to their home folder. Current - Model downloads into 'download folder', users have to upzip, potentially copy it over to their home folder, then open into Solidworks. Ideally - To make this a more seamless experience, the user would click on a link in the Webapp, it open the model directly in Solidworks. Show More

Currently documents cannot have minor and major revision. it would be nice to be able to set minor and major revision characteristics on the tenant configuration. There are documents in our database that are always linked to and item number, and currently we cannot match the with the corresponding document, because documents cannot have minor and major revision (they only have "Revision") in the same way as the items. Please create an orphan report at project end item level. Report to include relevant info from orphan tab within the CN. Component, item name, status, kitting (revision tag to be at the end), full tree path, H qty, R qty, Move QTY, Total, Unit cost, Extended cost, Notes.    As of now users were starting CN to review orphans under an end item which is time consuming. As the orphan tab have nested view, user cannot do component sort. If item was part of that assy previously, it will show up in the filtered list. If it wasn’t, then it will not show up in the filtered list and you need to manually search in the full list.  Show More

  The admin can only see 2000 users (both active and inactive!) when selecting the users to add to a team. A solution that can be implemented is to increase the max page size to max int value or any value. This change could be done via configuration and it would impact all of our APIs. In applying this change, all of the APIs that support paging will have to support an extremely large number of items per page, which defeats the purpose of paging. API response time will increase, and users will need to wait for a longer time for all the items to load.   Spring's limit of 2000 items per page is reasonable, and we should not increase the limit. The issue should be solved on the front end by introducing paging.   Acceptance criteria Paging needs to be introduced to the screen for adding users to the team Add filtering to only show the active users This would in turn decrease the total number of users in the list Request Description: Product and Development Team to confirm if 2000 is the current limit. If this is indeed the case, can this limit be expanded? What is the reason for it? Can it cause performance issues or any other kinds of issues if we decide to expand it? If it can not be expanded, can we then implement a change where only active User accounts are listed there? It really does not make sense to list inactive ones, which probably is the case since, as stated ATS has 1851 active Users and 2000 are shown on User list during Teams creation and now they can not select some active Users since they do not “fit” on this list (because list probably contains inactive User accounts as well)   Show More
