There is simply no way to add a 3D representation for Parts created as Electrical Package. Current the only way to attach 3D models seems to be with the SW plugin, which then requires the item to be of Assembly type. This leave Electrical engineers without a way of uploading models.    I propose that Upchain includes an "Upload 3D model" to the import selection for Electrical Package selection. This should be able to pass in at minimum STEP and IGES data types. Similarly, It would nice to see this 3D models import feature for "Purchased Electrical Parts" which is commonly used for EE board level components. Show More

Currently it is a bit confusing for new-users to locate the measure tools (and they can be a bit challenging for non-CAD users to use).  If possible, could we bring in a tape measure icon separate from the selection menu that would just default to point-to-point measurement with a dropdown for other measurement types?  Currently all measurement types are housed within the selection menu as shown below.     Show More

Current functionality: When an item is selected in Solidworks tree, respective item gets highlighted (in grey) in plugin CBOM view and vice versa. This functionality is limited to single item.  If 2 items are selected in Solidworks tree, only one item gets highlighted (in grey) in plugin CBOM view (typically items selected last in Solidworks tree gets highlighted in plugin view).    Recommended functionality: If 2 items or more items are selected in Solidworks tree, all selected items should be highlighted in the plugin CBOM view as well.    Use case: Solidworks does not display the item number in Solidworks tree, which user might need to know for multiple items at the same time when reviewing. As of now users can only select one item at a time and scroll in CBOM view to locate the selected model.  Show More

Hey, when uploading, adding, changing files in Upchain. The red text used in the check-in window is very hard to read. A better contrasting colour would be a lot easier on the eyes and makes checking through large assemblies a lot easier. Show More
