When creating a table in my Inventor drawing template with Upchain attribute codes, backslashes are added to the code when creating a drawing based on the template.
This results in codes who doesn't work.
E.g. The code looks like {%03%} in the template and in the drawing based on the template the code looks like \{%03%\}
Se attached screen shots.
Hi @HansChristianFossum that is an interesting one! A few questions for you:
Cheers.
Hi @emily.caulfield , I'm using 2025. Haven't been able to test in other versions.
I'm creating an ordinary table in Inventor, not revision table. It doesn't happen i the title block.
I have only tested it on idw's.
I made a work around creating an empty table and putting text with the codes on top. That works, but not ideal. I assume this is an Inventor issue, not an Upchain issue.
Hi @HansChristianFossum yes it sounds like an issue with Inventor. I only tested the codes in the title block and didn't see this issue. I guess you'll have to use the workaround.
@HansChristianFossum yes I'd ask there as well to see what they have to say about it.
@HansChristianFossum- I have the same problem in Inventor 2024. Did you find a solution?
One workaround that seems to work is to remove the table from the drawing template and manually copy/paste the working table from another drawing.
Yes, a fix will be released soon.
Workaround: Create the curly codes outside of the table as ordinary text on top of the table. Not ideal, but it works.
