O Learned Denizens,
I've downloaded a trial version. I want to see if I can use it commercially for manipulating scan data and generating designs from them.
I've had a mixed morning trying it all out, but that's not the question.
I just got an email from Autodesk telling me I haven't downloaded it and am not using it. I am always suspicious of myself when things like this happen. About 18 months ago I also had a go at a trial but basically went nowhere with it - just timed out. Have I somehow crossed the two accounts over or something?
And if I have, how do I not lose this morning's work?
Damian

Hi @damian_harty,
Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
Which product were you looking to trial? Unfortunately, I can't see any trials started for your account (the account you posted the above message with). Can you try accessing a trial through https://www.autodesk.com/uk/free-trials? Please make sure you complete the onscreen instructions to ensure a Trial is started.
I look forward to hearing from you,

OK, as I suspected, although I signed up again my PC eagerly logged me in with the previous (hobbyist) sign-in.
I jumped through the hoops and got to the end of setting up the account for the professional sign-in. Then I went back to this sign-in and asked your AI assistant to tell me how to get the files down from the cloud. They coached me on using the cache, and I duly did. I can now sign in with the real account and access the work I did yesterday. Crisis averted!
I shall now sign in with the new account and this one will be left to wither on the vine, or whatever happens to old Fusion accounts...
Uh, wait - this is the professional account. It should now be registering that I have done *something* with this account...
I'm happy to hear that everything is now working @damian_harty. Just to let you know, Autodesk products activate using the same cookie in your default browser that you use to access Autodesk websites, which was likely the cause of the odd behaviour.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out,
All the best,
