Hi, everyone I think one of the autodesk community ranking rule is not appropriate and that is "Ranks are based on length of membership". Because many people create accounts but they hardly post 1 or 2 things i.e. ideas, suggestion, problems etc and their posts increased automatically even they open accounts few years ago. So I think this rule is not appropriate. Feel free to ask if anyone have any suggestions.

I see your point, but I still think it has its place, perhaps with a very low weighting, as it shows loyalty to autodesk.
Hi, @c.rp.henderson probably you are correct but I am not agree with you. I think there should be also option for dislike like kudos.
I never want to say this. I just think it should be only based on amount of kudos, solutions, ideas and activities. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Every Coin has two sides,
Every opinion will have two sides,
I like red, you might like blue,
I drink tea, you might drink coffee,
Its just a number,
Don't get hung up on "perceived rank" being how experienced or knowledgeable a person is.
The world is full of people with good ideas ā not all are āranked 10ā
@Anonymous Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. I have been a community member since 2012 and have recently took a position as the Inventor community forum specialist for Autodesk. As far as the dislike button goes, if people get out of line and start posting negative comments, erroneous information, derogatory statements, etc. typically the members sort them out fairly quickly, or I will report them to the moderator if it is egregious. We want to stay positive here, not everyone is equally knowledgeable and will inevitably ask questions that are already answered or not well thought out. It is our charge to point them in the right direction, educate them, and train them on the proper way to handle a conversation here. This community is unique in that most people here are genuinely supportive in seeking help and giving help. The kudos and ranks are just identifiers to show appreciation and general level of experience. There are people in here that should get a kudos on every post because their knowledge is invaluable and for them to share it freely is in my opinion a saintly endeavor. I could not have gotten my career started years ago without the support here and am now directly involved with it's function, which I feel proud to be a part of. Continue to stay involved, further your skills, and you will keep climbing professionally. My first job was a janitor, then busboy, assembly line worker, phone operator, technical support, drafter, engineer, designer, inventor. It's not in a label, it is how you plan on moving forward and reaching your next goal. Ask questions, stay hungry, keep inventing. The numbers, ranks, kudos, and success will follow.

Hi SAIMUL,
You've posted on the Inventor Forum, but this topic is not related to Autodesk Inventor, and so it would be better suited for the Community FeedBack Forum: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/community-feedback/bd-p/3011
Be aware that the ranking system has been discussed many, many times, so a search on that forum will likely return some past discussions on the topic, that might help you understand how and why it works as it currently does.
With that in mind please see this FAQ post concerning the ranking system:
https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/community-faq/community-ranks/td-p/5384633
Also, note that a listing of all of the forums can be viewed at this link, in case you have other questions that relate to another product, or topic that is not related to Autodesk Inventor

I hope this helps.

This is not social media. Its a professional site where people seek assistance. It deserve respect by everybody. Dislike is not something that needs to be here If this option was here and you started disliking others recommendations, questions, or their solutions.. I will tell you wouldn't get far with the community. I know we all have bad days and frustration boils over but taking it out on other users like disliking them or saying the wrong thing is not something that you want to do.
As other have stated.. Numbers or rankings don't mean anything. They were put in place years ago to get people to help out more. Its not worth anything now. Yes some rankings may be high with limited experience, while others have a lower ranking with a lot of knowledge.
In the end if you are willing to support that's great, but don't worry about your ranking or numbers.. If you provide valuable information and solutions that's what others will care about.

Do the next step - up to 5
Nevertheless - Level 4 vs 2 inputs seems not a bad situation.

The forum rank system is a black box to the users. Someone at Autodesk knows, but the algorithm is not public.
I've only advanced by posting questions and answers over the years that I have been a registered member of the forum.

Why? What happens at 6?
5 years later and I will bring this back to light...
What do you mean to be used for qualifications as an autodesk student experts, do the numbers have deeper meanings?
@TimelesslyTiredYouth welcome to the forum, I don't know who Anonymous was, but that is a retired account and they are no longer active on the forums, which makes it unlikely they will respond to you ![]()
here is the info on the ranks for your review:

Also, since this is not an Inventor related topic I've asked that this be moved to the general community room page.
