I am looking for advice on how people in the civil engineering world handle last minute building changes. We are currently caught in a cycle where modifications to the building occur just before deadlines, necessitating a frantic effort to address the resulting impacts on civil plans. For instance, I've encountered situations where the front face of a building gets extended beyond the minimum setback line, which causes a cascade of changes across the entire site layout. This generally would not be a problem except unexpected alterations tend to arise towards the conclusion of the Construction Document (CD) phase. Any insights on how others navigate and streamline this process would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Anthony
