Graduated with honors in 2017. I didn't use but I didn't lose it all

Hello all, In 2007 I was a Plumbing/Fire Protection Designer, I suffered serious head and neck injuries from an accident on the job. It took some years to fully regain my physical, mental and spiritual prowess back. Idecided to go back to school to catch up on what I missed in the field during my lengthy recuperation. I graduated from ITT Tech in 2017 with an associate's degree in Cadd and design.  I haven't been able to get a position in MEP design. I try to keep up with the codes and such. I've been studying the PMC of the ICC and kept up with codes and new construction techniques. I took an AutoCAD preliminary test and found that I am not as sharp as I used to be. I studied version 2017 AutoCAD, 2114 Revit and 2017 3D Max in school. Is there a refresher course so that I can regain my skills and confidence?

Start at YouTube: then if you need more Google Search will direct you to more in-depth refresher classes, the good stuff is not free.

Which preliminary test did you take? was it for a school or was it for Autodesk Certification?

I am trying to re-enter the work force after 14 years of recouping from my injuries and getting my children off to college. I had AutoCAD 2007 at home, I could keep my edge as far as my knowledge of Autodesk's products. I lost my license to keep the programs after I graduated and no longer a student in 2017. I was hired as a Code enforcement Inspector in Philadelphia this year. This position is not what I was expecting or want to do for a living. I want to go back to many my first love in engineering. I was asked questions about AutoCAD and I had trouble recalling complex commands and directions, I started doubting my skills. I am on a fixed income, so purchasing any software at this time is not an option. I have the passion just want to reacquaint myself with AutoCAD without spending hundreds of dollars. Thank you for any suggestions.

Thank you for your help CADnoob. I still have to reacquired AutoCAD software of any version. I cannot afford to purchase the software because I am paying for my daughter's Adobe software for college now. Is there a free version I can use?

Thank you

you can get a trial version for free that lasts for 30 days. You can get that and study using it to pass the test.

You can get LT for $60 USD a month which is really cheap for what it is. (currently on sale till friday  6/3/2022 for $48)
