Using AutoCAD designs as templates for digital membership card Software

Hi everyone, I’ve been working on a small project where we manage member access for a local facility (similar to a zoo/community space), and I’m exploring ways to standardize how our membership cards are created and used digitally. Currently, I’m considering using AutoCAD to design a precise card layout (dimensions, logo placement, QR area, etc.), and then exporting that design for use in a digital system that supports mobile wallets like Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. The idea is not to generate the digital membership card directly in AutoCAD, but to use it as a design/template tool, which can then be integrated with a membership platform or CRM for actual distribution and validation.
I’m curious:
- Has anyone here used AutoCAD (or similar Autodesk tools) for designing structured templates like this?
- Are there better workflows or tools within the Autodesk ecosystem for this kind of use case?
- Any tips on maintaining consistency between CAD designs and final digital outputs?
Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.
