Hi all,
Apologies if this isn't the correct forum for this question (there used to be a distinct hardware forum, but no longer it seems)...
I have a HP Zbook as my work-supplied computer for CAD:
32GB ram
i9 13950HX
1TB SSD
RTX3500 GPU
Over the past year or so I've been suffering from random crashes, not just with Autodesk products (mostly autocad, but also Revit), but also other software, and occasionally complete system shutdowns. The CAD crashes usually appear as memory exceptions, and are fatal to the program running, other programs simply die and restart, or the whole system reboots without warning.
I have a support case open with Autodesk, who are still investigating, with little luck so far, however i thought I'd cast the net wider and canvass the autodesk community as a whole.
I'm aware that Intel had issues with some 13th gen processors regarding stability, and this is a line I'm trying to investigate further, from my reading it's mostly desktop processors being affected, but some threads acknowledge that it may also be some mobile CPUs.
Is anyone here using a similar generation processor or system? have you been having problems? Did you get any support from your hardware supplier? How did you resolve it in the end?
