Nice to meet you. I am exploring the possibility of monitoring rooms sensitive to vibrations by sending floor vibration data in real-time to Tandem. As a test, I sent the output of the iPad's accelerometer sensor to Tandem, but it seems that the waveform on the Tandem Stream updates every minute. Is it possible to change the update frequency on the Tandem side?Thank you in advance.
Hi @h-tsukamotoZ6HPG !
You can change the frequency at which data is sent to Tandem via our API. Our recently released Beta, Tandem Connect, is also a great solution for this. To join the beta, click here.
Keep in mind that the smallest frequency that Tandem can receive data is 1 min. If Tandem receives data more frequently than that, it will overwrite the existing data for that minute.
I hope that helps!
This is good to know that the min frequency is 1 minute, and at least Tandem will still ingest the latest data within that minute so it is not ignored.
It then raises a couple of related questions.
Thanks.
Good mornig, @jessica_smith !
Thank you for your response. I was not aware of the Tandem API. Does this mean that with the Tandem API, it is possible to extend the interval to 2 minutes or 3 minutes, rather than reducing the receiving frequency on the Tandem side to less than 1 minute?
Nice to meet you @Chad-Smith
It seems that the data is being received, but the display is updated every minute, is that correct? Also, as mentioned as a concern, there are many cases where frequent monitoring, such as walking vibrations, is necessary. I am also hoping for the possibility of reducing the data receiving frequency on the Tandem side.
