Questions for Creating Spaces in Autodesk Tandem

We are looking to introduce a quick process for creating spaces within Autodesk Tandem. We would like to understand  priorities, needs, preferences, and the frequently added attributes or metadata to a space during the digital twin build process. To provide a better experience, we have a few questions we would like to ask.

1. When you create a new space in Tandem, what information would you prioritise entering first? E.g Name, size? Why is this information important to you?
   
   
2. Do you find it necessary to create multiple spaces at once? If yes, how many spaces do you typically need to create in one session? What challenges do you face when creating multiple spaces in a regular authoring tool?
   
   
3. What types of shapes would you like to be able to create for spaces in Tandem (e.g., rectangular, round, cone, cylinder)? Can you provide examples of scenarios where these shapes would be useful?
   
   
4. How would you prefer to select and define different shapes for spaces (e.g., drop-down menu with predefined shapes, drawing tools to sketch the shape)? Why do you prefer this method?
   
   
5. Any other Spaces related feedback or suggestions you might have for us?

1. Number, Name , Area, Height, off needed parameters. (Number of people, heat load, cooling load, etc.)

2. Yes, because we have a lot of them in a large project. You would want to make it per floor. Up to 50, I guess. Placement of the spaces, how do you place them correctly on the right spot. Or if you don’t have an floor plan underneath you need to determine the geometry of the space.

3. Well you need a lot of shapes. Best would be that you can specify it your self, by making lines of the plan and then stretch it to the required height. And this could also be a rectangular floor plan with a triangle shape in the height.

5. As you maybe can read, maybe make spaces based of a floor plan out of revit/autocad. Maybe also a possibility to export it to other formats or integrate it with Revit.
