The Autodesk Tandem is thrilled to announce new capabilities within Systems, specifically the ability to trace and visualize the most relevant elements connected in your system. Users now have the ability to select an element within a system and conduct a swift search to visualize the most relevant connected elements. The tracing capabilities identify the route to these critical elements by highlighting the path and provide a clear understanding of the path through animated visualization. Highlighting various critical components along the path with their name on labels, the system allows easy focus on a specific branch via color coding. Additionally, users can pinpoint the location and activate the room associated with a specific path, giving a clear understanding of the service locations.
Why does this matter? Models can be large and complex to navigate, especially as building services extend across various levels and spaces. Locating a specific element linked to a system that may be causing issues within a facility can be daunting. However, by leveraging our powerful system connectivity feature, we can now automatically illustrate the path and elements within that system, contextualizing them within their respective rooms and levels. This enhancement enables users to locate equipment within a system, significantly simplifying the process to a few clicks.
