How does named user licensing "count" seats ?

Hi everybody;

we are currently replacing multi user licensing with named user licensing.

I have understood that it requires the assignment of users to software packages.

Currently we have 3 AEC-Collection seats (will be doubled to 6 by changing to named user licensing).

AEC-Collection contains both Revit and Navisworks Manage.

What happens if a user assigned to AEC-Collection wants to open both Revit AND Navisworks Manage at the same time ?

Does this count as one seat, or does it require a second seat ?

Hi @stefansikora,

When you have a collection license it's effectively a combo license for that user meaning they can launch all of the software in the collection with no issues. Just think of a collection as many individual licenses bundled into one.

Basically 1 seat = 1 user (one instance open at a time)
