Desktop Analytics disabled but still receiving insights via email.

Hello,

I'm perplexed at how I can have the desktop analytics feature turned off via the software yet I'm still receiving emails with "my insights" and information about drawings I'm working on. I disabled that analytics feature to prevent data from being gathered, yet this very clearly shows that the software continues to gather data on my computer.

When I open AutoCAD 2023 and click the "My Insights" tab on the left, I get a screen that says desktop analytics are disabled. I've gone into the registry via this Autodesk support page (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-e...) and verified that all of the keys read zero. I however have received two emails with tips from Autodesk on how to improve my workflow. See attached for a snippet of the email which gives my average number of layers. That information, unless erroneous/made-up, means that data is still being collected by the AutoCAD software and reporting back to Autodesk.

So my question is: Should having the desktop analytics feature turned off mean I shouldn't receive insight emails? Or is there some text in the terms & conditions that still allows drawing information to be collected by Autodesk outside of this feature?

emails are not connected to your in-program settings: you will need to unsubscribe from those separately, or redirect them to your JUNK folder in your email client.

Lol, so we can turn off the emails telling us we are being spied on. Good to know.

I think what we all want is the reverse, no spying and emails if they are....

I would also like to stop being spied on. I don't understand why this is marked as solved. Stopping the emails is not the issue.
