Hello everyone,

We are turning a corner on the pandemic, and many of our customers are more prepared to transition to named user.

However, we understand that companies worldwide continue to face challenges brought on by the pandemic. As a follow-up to the extended timeline we announced in November and to continue supporting customers who need more time, we are making the following changes starting February 25, 2022:

  • Annual multi-user subscriptions (including Extra Territory Rights) may be renewed until February 7, 2023.
    • What does this mean for you? If you have an active multi-user subscription, you can renew it until February 7, 2023.
  • The multi-user trade-in offer will be available until February 7, 2024.
    • What does this mean for you? If you have an active multi-user subscription, you can trade it in before February 7, 2024, and receive two named user subscriptions (for one named user each) at a cost consistent with what you pay today.

Customers now have more flexibility with longer timelines to transition to named user.

Wishing you the best,

Hi,

We were one of many practices taking up the transitional promotion by relinquishing our perpetual licenses for subscription based ones back in 2022, with this year being the final year of 3.

Fully aware that we would still be running with the discount for another year, however the huge uplift in potential cost in 12 months time (in excess of 4-5 times current costs), will likely require us to either downsize or consider alternative software options from Autodesk.

What is Autodesk's roadmap regarding this matter, as I'm certain that we would be one of MANY other practices with the same forthcoming predicament and concerns.

Like many, we need this information ASAP such that we can forecast costs etc for the next 12months, and whether we need to start budgeting for any uplift in software costs...

Would love hear other peoples thoughts on this matter, and how you propose to tackle it...

Kind regards,

Lars
