Hi, I am modelling a 2 span bridge with link slab. Its a beam slab system where the beam sitting on bearing and can be considered as simply supported. What is the proper way to model the link slab? Please refer to the attachment to get an idea about the model. I assigned longitudinal member as continuous slab to represent the link slab but i am getting a very high hogging moment for the longitudinal which not correct if its a simply supported system. Anyone can guide how resolve this modelling issue? I did assign beam end release at the end of my beam as trial and error and the bending moment diagram make sense but i am not sure the approach is correct or wrong.
