Steering wheel with Oculus Rift

We would like to use a steering wheel and pedals in combination with Oculus Rift to drive through a model created with Civil 3D / InfraWorks. We need some advise on which solution works best for this case. Thanks very much.

Regardless of the toolchain used to generate your model, you will ultimately want to pull it into Max or Maya and perform some manual cleanup to optimize it for VR. Selecting real-time friendly materials and reducing polygon count for example.

The steering wheel and pedals may not be supported by Stingray. It should appear to Stingray as an xbox controller if it is supported. The input_mapper.lua file in core/appkit will give you an idea of how the mapping works.

Ben,

So, if I emulate an XBox Controller from for example a Thrustmaster wheel with x360ce, it will work?

You do not read out the data directly???

Where are the Stingray executables for testing a level and testing the whole game located?

Would you please tell me the specs, I have to take care of?

Thanks,

Alex
