Dears, I believe that Paul or Dan may  have the solution for it, but is there any procedures of installing a PS4 controller to be used durring the game development in Stingray?

 

I bought a PS4 controller to be used in my classes.

The fact is that it connects to my computer as game controller unit. I was using the DS4 Widows for gaming, but I need to use it with stingray.

So, can anyone help me to figure out how does Stingray recognizes it? Should I use the DS4 even when I am in Stingray?

I have tested using DS4 Windows and using this software some stuff works and some not ( for example, the thumbstick works perfectly, but the L2 button does not.

Just to be clear about what it is happening, it complains about the triangle button and doesn't complain about the thumbstick.

It seems that it recognizes one but not the other.

Havn't a clue I'm on the art phase. If you don't mind me asking what type of game are you making?

Hey man, I am a teacher... So it has lots of students work involved... All of them are prototypes and this semester we will keep working on them.

Most of them are RPG games, but the "better ones" are adventure.

 

I am planning on publish some of this games here on the forum, but it will take some time. So, I am not a developer itself, but someone who is learning to teach this engine for others.

Stingray natively will pickup and use the xbox controller (xboxone or xbox360)

 

You may need to install drivers if it is an old os, but win 8, 10 etc will be preinstalled.

 

Then just use the xbox flow nodes under input.  Couldn't be easier.
