I'm not sure what is going on but it would seem on both my work and home systems the materials that are normally attached to the "preset" lights are all missing. I noticed it at home last night that whenever I added a light into the scene the materials were gone. However if i called up an old project that d lights they were there.
Oddly I came into work today, dragged a light into the scene and same thing...I attached a pic.
The little yellow triangle in the lower right corner signals you're not in the live preview mode. Instead of selecting F4, try 3 and see if the light "presets" come back...I think that's what I did.
