Does Smoke/Flame on mac support 4k output on Kona 3G/

Im trying ot find out if Flame/Smoke on mac can output 4k with the Kona 3G card.

Hi,

There are few points to clarify regarding your question.

First, the AJA Kona 3G cannot be installed in the hardware solutions we recommend for Flame and Smoke (namely the latest versions of the Mac Pro and IMac).

The AJA Kona 3G can be installed on an old Mac Pro 5.1 tower, which is no longer part of our recommended hardware list.  Technically, Smoke and Flame could still run on this hardware and output 4k using the Kona 3G but this is not something we do guarantee.

As a side note, Flame and Smoke do support 4k output using the AJA IOXT and BlackMagic UltraStudio boards (which are compatible with the latest versions of the Mac Pro and IMac).
