I work with editing (redraw and type) of comics in a small publisher in my country. For me, I would only use Autodesk, but due to the weak text tool I have to use Photoshop too.
This problem has been around for a while, but the problem I faced today made me come here to make this suggestion.
They were lines that should be behind the balloons and the character.
To do this in photoshop was very complicated, for autodesk it was just to erase the text layer at specific points.
However, the text had borders and autodesk did not recognize them.
I had to go back and redo it through Photoshop through more difficult and time consuming means.
It would be interesting to see a significant improvement in the text tool as a whole, and better compatibility with that of Photoshop.
