Multiple Sketchbooks or Pages.

Multiple Sketchbooks or Pages.

I love the program and everything about it. I think a good way to just add to the richness of the program would be to allow you  to create multiple sketchbooks or multiple pages. With multiple pages you can work on more than one project at a time. Helpful for us with sporadic minds. Having the ability to create multiple sketchbooks would allow for someone to have a little more order to their work by categorizing the big projects we're working on in different locations that save to our profiles. Think Window OneNote.

Just piggy-backing of this: I have given up my physical notebook in favor of SketchBook for Windows 10 for keeping track of engineering designs. As I sketch, and more ideas flow into more ideas, it's a huge blocker to have to save a page into a directory and start a new sketch. I would really like the ability to keep different multi-page sketchbooks so that I can categorize pages of sketches into their appropriate projects, and continue a new page of sketches when I run out of room. The OneNote analogy is a great one.

I want the ability to open multiple files in one instance too. For now, my workaround is to open BOTH Sketchbook Enterprise and Sketchbook app from Windows store and I can work two files somewhat, but it's still clunky. Please add this feature to Enterprise.

I totally agree. This product is an absolutely great tool, but for an product called SketchBOOK you may expect more than one page (otherwise please change the name to Autodesk Sketchpage). It should be like a sketchbook.

Was quite disappointed that I'm unable to have different pages like in a real sketch book.

Hopefullythe developers will add this basic feature in.

A fantastic idea. It's one aspect of traditional sketching I miss - being surrounded by pages of drawings, able to quickly reference them as I work on something new. Print outs aren't always an option. Please find a way to implement it in the digital realm.

I´m not a designer. I´m just a student that use Sketchbook to write my classnotes. I´m not use paper any more. So ... this feature would help very much. Please ... think that with care. The ability to open other notes would be great!!!

Any updates on this? Categorisation and management is really the only aspect stopping sketchbook from solidifying its place as the strongest app of its type. It was the main feature which drew me to Paperby53 when I used to use an iPad - I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd appreciate if it made its way here too!

So true - this is the one thing that kills me about SketchBook. Not being able to quickly switch between a few different sketch file windows or "sheets" seriously hampers productivity. It's called SketchBOOK, right? So why no support for multiple windows or sheets which would be obvious given the name? I know the software is supposed to be fairly lightweight, but I would hope a feature like that would not cripple it given that we live in 2019 (as of this message). The ability to copy layers to other open files/sheets would be a beautiful thing.

I love Sketchbook. But it's hard to use reference photos. Especially when zooming in and moving around a painting.

This is what I need multiple windows for. One file for references and one for the drawing. so that the references is always on sight even though I might be zoomed in the painting.

Thanks.

Please make this a thing! It would be extremely useful!

I'd like to have it too. I'm using Sketchbook for drawing network topologies and at the same time I'd like to draw different layers of a single one on different pages, so +1 from me for this feature. Pretty, pretty please 🙂

The lack of this important feature is the one thing that keeps sending me back to OneNote.

Registered an account just so I could co-sign this. Crazy that this feature hasn't been implemented yet.

Dito!

Yes! That's the only thing missing in my opinion. To just not being able to directly copy layers between projects or to have the references in different windows is really suboptimal and only makes the work harder to be executed.

It's a relatively simple feature, please give it to us 😄

Hi, I came looking for a solution to this -- the only feature I feel is potentially a deal-breaker )-:

I can agree, that way we can all just multi task and get multiple things done at once. Rather than focus on one thing at a time.

I totally agree that this feature would be nice.

Especially since you implemented a "flipbook" feature where it's basically a multipage document with additional feature.

I suggest adding another document type called "Notebook" which would be a simplified version of the flipbook. The user interface for that would be so easy to make. I wonder why it has not been implemented yet, even though so many people asked for it.

Another thing which would be great is the ability to open several documents at the same time and have tabs for each files the same way it is done on paint.net or the same way multiple pages are open on Chrome.

I think those two features should be implemented separately. Even though they could be felt redundant, I think the notebook file/interface would be more ergonomic than multi tabs for taking notes.
