Adding clipping masks and improve "Magic Wand/Fill" function

I think many have asked you for clipping masks; I will write only in the subject that I also want that, so I will talk about something else. When I use the "Magic Wand" function and then use the "Fill" function or the brush, there is a problem: the color near the line art remains without color. I always try to be clean but the color always remains about a pixel away from the line made by the Wand. I think it would be fantastic to add a sort of "Fill tolerance", where it is possible to establish within how many pixels the color can go beyond the boundary outlined by the Wand or line art.

It is astounding that clipping mask still doesn't exist, given that the feature has been brought up again and again for like half a decade... 🙄

I find filling an area twice usually gets rid of the line.

 There is a slider for fill tolerance. Round icon with the dots around. From android mobile version.

 As for clipping masks, I've never used an app with that tool, but I believe most of those functions can be done in sketchbook. Which is probably why they haven't added a specific tool. They don't seem very interest in updating the app, or maybe its just two people in a basement with too many products to work on.

Heres a link to a video about masking and layers from autodesk. https://blogs.autodesk.com/sketchbookpro/trents-tips-masking-and-grouping-layers-in-sketchbook/

FYI, the video is old and for a pc version of sketchbook pro, but everything should still be in the free version iirc.

And yes, I find it frustrating they make us go searching for this stuff and don't update the tips and tricks posts and videos.

@Anonymous

Hi and thanks for your reply. I actually tried to fill twice the same area but the color doesn't go where I want. Most of the time, it just get more pixeled.

About the clipping masks, I've already seen the video and that's why I asked for clipping masks: the solution Autodesk offers it's not what I want to do because it forces me to create a duplicate of the layer, but I just want a completely different layer to work on.

Thank again for your reply

I'd also love to see clipping masks. I like sketchbook but the one thing that would make using it easier is the clipping masks. Hoping we get an update for it this year. 🙂
