THUMBNAIL ISSUES!!

Hello. I am on mobile. You know how the app automatically saves thumbnails to your gallery? I recently deleted those images from my gallery to save space, but now when I open the art, it simply shows a blank white canvas. The thumbnails aren't showing up either. When I expand the app gallery to larger, the thumbnails show. PLEASE HELP because I can't afford to lose work again.
