Smudge Tool Not Working

Anonymous
Not applicable
My smudge tool keeps erasing the colors I'm trying to smudge instead of smudging them. It works sometimes but then it stops a little afterwards. This happens when I stop smudging and change the color to draw a bit, but even when I take the color off it starts erasing again. I don't know how to stop the smudge tool from erasing or smudging with a color instead of smudging colors into one another.

Any help with this would be appreciated, the "how to" instructions on the actual website are in polite terms, wholly unhelpful.

Undo will is linear.  You can't just undo strokes, it will also undo commands.

To hopeful help, on desktop, it's best to use the Save As command.  It will version a file for you automatically by adding a (number) 1,2,3,4 etc to the end of the file.

I'm sorry, I should have specified. I'm using the mobile app. And I'm not undoing anything, I paint the colors then I switch to the smudge tool and it begins erasing when I try to smudge. Or it smudges a color on top of everything no matter what I draw on.

1. Are you on iOS or Android?

2. Can you try to reset SketchBook?  {=] > Preferences > Factory Defaults (Reset all 4 sections) and ry the smudge tool again?
