SketchBook Pro copy/paste issue - creates a blank layer after the paste

Hello. I am using the pro desktop version on Windows 10. I checked for updates and it shows me that I have the latest version installed. The program randomly decided at times to not copy a selection. I select something with the lasso, ctrl+c, ctrl+v, and it adds a blank selection on a new layer. Sometimes it adds just a part of the image (for example I'm trying to copy a drawing of a full character, and it only pastes the feet as if cut trough the middle). I couldn't find a solution online anywhere, that's why I'm creating the tread. I tried searching the forum as well. Sometimes it would randomly just work like normal, but more often than not it would do that. I've currently restarted the program twice - I save, exit, open it again - it keeps doing it.

I'm assuming I'm not doing something right, or there's something turned on that is bugging with it, but I cannot get my head around what that would be, so I'll be happy for somebody to give me a hand. It's extremely annoying to have to make a copy of the entire layer and erase more than half of it every time to get a simple result like copying and flipping an eye or a hand.

I have send you a PM for more details but I would start with saving your settings by copying the 8.0/7.0/6.0 folder noted here:

Option 1:

https://www.sketchbook.com/help/knowledge-base/back-files-settings/

Option 2:

Delete it and/or reset the settings of SketchBook via Edit > Preferences > Factory Defaults.

Before doing it, I would backup your custom brushes as well.
