Sketchbook keeps freezing on new windows 10 desktop computer

Hi, I changed my computer back in January 2020. Since then I can't use Sketchbook. It opens, then after a few minutes it freezes and just stops working. The problem seems to appear when I move my workspace to my tablet. I use a Wacom tablet Cintiq 22: DTK2260 and a DTH-A1300L.

I'm using Sketchbook 8.7.1 and also tried with an older 8.6 version with no results. I'm using the latest 6.3.40-2 Wacom driver.

Any Idea what the problem is?

Thanks!

Thanks

I recently just switched from Mac to Windows after building a pc a month or so ago for heavier workloads and am having the same issue on my Windows computer. I can open Sketchbook fine on my main monitor, but as soon as I move the window over to my Cintiq and either enlarge or maximize it, Sketchbook freezes and only can be closed with Task Manager. If I attempt to open Sketchbook on my Cintiq to start, it freezes immediately and doesn't allow me to do anything.

I am using a Cintiq 22HD and have the latest Wacom and Sketchbook drivers. I uninstalled and reinstalled both multiple times but the problem persists.

This exact same thing is happening to me.  Running a brand new MSI Dragonshield Raider with a cintiq 22.

I was looking for something to replace my old copy of Manga Studio 5 for sketching and inking, however sketchbook seems to have a problem freezing up on my second monitor.  Here are the symptoms I've noticed so far.

- Works fine on my built in monitor.

- Moving it to my second monitor and maximizes causes a freeze.

- Moving to my second monitor without maximizing allows me to draw for a bit however...

- While on my second monitor saving causes a freeze (even though file does save).

- Randomly freezes after a bit.

- Restarting after a forced quit on my second monitor causes the app to open maximized on my second monitor and freeze immediately.

-Unplugging the monitor and opening the app fresh on my built in resets the program to normal working behavior.

The problem seems to be something with the cintiq monitor.  If anyone figures this out I would love to know!  Thanks a ton.

Same issue here, on a Alienware Area 51 with Win 10 home (about to upgrade to pro),and I'm using a Huion kamvas pro 16.

Sketchbook will work in windows, on the main display, until I move it to the screen on the Huion.

HOWEVER, I was able to find a work-around, I set my Huion screen to be the main display and then I open sketchbook.  I have to do this every time I want to use Sketchbook.  A fix for this would be nice though.

I hope this helps with the Cintiqs

Hi. all. I have similar problem but not the same.

I use Sketchbook Desktop 8.7.1.0 with Laptop(built-in touch screen + stylus) + secondary monitor (Wacom Cintiq 16 DTK1660K1D), Windows10 ver 2004. I use mainly Sketchbook on Cintiq 16 and when I press ALT key or select Exit menu, Sketchbook stop responding to any input (mouse pointer is working, but cannot open menu, cannot change input mode). I must save data before this situation and always use task manager to close Sketchbook.

(In the other PC - N4100 based one, Sketchbook does not allow me to draw on layers added, but it is another problem)

How can I prevent Sketchbook from stopping? or make Sketchbook close normally?

Moreover,  when I push ALT-prtscr key, no image is stored in clipboard.

If Autodesk has motivation to improve Sketchbook Desktop, I really appreciate.

PS: Autodesk Sketchbook for tablet 5.1 works properly. But its function is too limited for me.

Sincerely

Same problem here.  Running Windows 10 w/ 3x monitors + Pen Display.  it worked for about 1 hour before this behavior started.  Now Sketchbook only wants to open on non-primary monitor which freezes it immediately.  I have to turn off all monitors (except primary) just to get the program open and then I have to keep it there. Latest drivers across the board but still nothing.  Uninstall/Reinstall - nothing.

Because the behavior is the same across all monitors & I was able to get it to work just fine (briefly), I don't think this has anything to do with the pen display being a Huion 16 (2021).  Video card is a Quadro P4000.

Any help that Autodesk can provide would be greatly appreciated.  This problem appears to be long-lived.
