Running Sketchbook on dedicated GPU on Surface Book 2 (GTX1050)

Hi!

I haven't been able to get Sketchbook or Sketchbook Pro to run on the GTX 1050 in my Surface Book 2. All drivers and Sketchbook are up to date, but to no avail. It always just starts using the integrated Intel graphics, but I'm not able to turn off the Intel graphics because of the hardware setup of the Surface Book 2.

The GTX 1050 works fine with other software (for example AutoCAD), but not with Sketchbook....

Is there anyone that knows and has found a solution to this problem? Please help 🙂

Best,

Tobias

Hi David!

That's the version I've been using.

It doesn't want to use the GTX 1050 with this version (atleast not for me).

Are you trying to do this:

i.e. Right mouse click on SketchBook shortcut and get the "options" to run with Nvidia Video Card?

Yep, I've tried that, but it gives me this error (even though I'm a full administrator on the PC)

Run with dedicated GPU.PNG

None the less. I've changed the settings in the Nvidia control panel so that Sketchbook should use the GTX1050:

But Sketchbook it still does not use the GTX1050:
